and, here's one for the ladiesAfter Joel stands to bask in his "it was just shaped like a G" line, Oswalt tells him to "soak it up" . . He then proceeds to stroke himself for 10 or 12 seconds. ( Most of the screen-shots look more like he's choking back a stroke tho' . . you'll have to see it in living { repeated ? } motion ! ) Oh. My. God. I think I just died.

And to cap off this 1st day of 20th Anniversary Box celebration, I shall add that the 3-part doc is gloriously stuffed as well. And the last 20 minutes beautifully turn to the principles extolling the Jeff Maynard's of the group, then several minutes on us MSTys ( whom Jim Mallon calls "the 4th person in the theater ) , then wraps up beautifully.
Hey !, think I'll watch "1st Spaceship On Venus" . . . one I haven't seen since way back when. I'm a' hungerin' for some "Klack !"

I am now in ownership of the most dead sexiest boxset ever.
This weekend is friggin' amazing, and it's only just begun.

I got mine today!!! Oh, it's so beautiful! Got to watch Laserblast for the first time, lovingly caressed my Crow figurine, watched two thirds of the MST documentary, and watched in awe as Joel licked his lips at the Comic-Con panel. Good weekend indeed.

I got to open mine too! I've seen Laserblast a couple times...it's awesome. XD But seeing everything in nice DVD quality is way better! "Oh, soak it up you bitch!" Yeah, that was really weird...XD;

If Kat put this one from her website up around here anywhere, well I didn't see it ! It's too perfect not to spotlight . . it's name is " Aaaangst", but being that she owns one now, that Aaaangst was evidently short-lived.

Okay so I finished watching the reunion panel on the box set. Robyn and I can attest to the fact that they did not put the entire panel up. I'm not too fond of the fact that they left out the "what are they doing now?" bit, though that is where Patton screwed up on Bill, Paul, and Bridget's names. I wonder if that was because there were mentions of Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic... I also would have liked a close up shot of when Kevin and Mike were ripping their eyes out after Trace's "there was another white mark" comment. Ah well. I have my shaky video for that. But overall it was good. I must say it feels odd not seeing it through my eyes. In a way, I think I prefer my shaky cam to this pretty version simply because of the memories associated with it.

Oh I got mine, by the way. ;D I am absolutely in love with it, I'm really impressed with how much work went into...well...everything! I love the menus - I think my favorite is the Future War one, with the dinosaur shadow popping up every so often, much to the terror of the Bots. XD Very cute.
I'm with you, Queenie - I've watched your video so many times it's a little surreal seeing the panel like this. Also, does the audience seem really muted to anyone else? I mean, they probably did that in editing so it would be easier to hear the cast, but it's just weird because everytime I remember the panel, I hear THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE WHOOO MITCHELL! and Queenie SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS OMG IT'S JOOOOOEL!!! XD

Best part of that whole panel? Maybe. XD I can see that. (Same with my Super-Con video!) Plus you can't hear all the crowd noise...it may be much easier to hear the questions and answers on the DVD, but the people laughing and cheering is what makes it awesome and memorable! ;o;

It's too perfect not to spotlight . . it's name is " Aaaangst", but being that she owns one now, that Aaaangst was evidently short-lived. I keep forgetting that the website I've linked to here is my journal. Ahahaha. I've been watching the "History of" segments a lot for, like, morning filler when I'm getting ready for school. The third part is my favorite for a bevy of reasons: 1.) When Mike talks about the hate-letters he got after the host switch. "Oh, some were just like, intensely personal, you know, trying to destroy my soul while others were short and to the point...'NEW GUY BLOWS'." I bust up laughing every time. 2.) The clip of the live show where Kevin/Tom starts singing "Tubular Boobular Joy" and is like "What, is this HARD or something?!" I really like the shot of them there for some reason. 3.) Mike in drag ["You know, he's a nice looking guy, but he is an ugly woman"] and Joel with the hats ["Which is the wrong thing to tell a group of writers"]. I love learning why the Brains did the things they did... 4.) Music! The fact that they used "Where Oh Werewolf" kinda concretes this thought in my head...me and a group of friends were watching 'Werewolf' a couple weeks ago, and they joked "Mike is 100 times sexier to Kat now". I would've killed them if I could. P: 5.) "There's, like, one in seventy televisions in Micronesia...what, are they gathering the whole village?" That's all I've got.

"Oh, some were just like, intensely personal, you know, trying to destroy my soul while others were short and to the point...'NEW GUY BLOWS'." I bust up laughing every time. It just goes to show that the Brain's weren't lying when they said Mike was the funniest person they ever met. Poor Mike, but more than that, poor MSTies who felt the need to try and destroy someone's soul just cause they didn't like a cast change! 3.) Mike in drag ["You know, he's a nice looking guy, but he is an ugly woman"] and Joel with the hats ["Which is the wrong thing to tell a group of writers"]. I love learning why the Brains did the things they did... That little tidbit about Joel absolutely drove me nuts with its cuteness. But at the same time I was deeply confused because I was all like, "But I just saw Joel wearing a hat at the CT show! What gives!" ;D

What gives!" ;D Exactly! When I saw that on the video, I laughed and thought about the irony of it all, because I remembered the conversation about Joel wearing a hat at the show. XD Maybe he's gotten over it in the past fifteen years? ...Or maybe it was something the other four forced on him? After all, they were writers of the show... "FRANK, JOSH, HOLD 'IM DOWN!" "Wha' -" "MARY JO GET THE SUPERGLUE!" "You guys, what are you - AH HEY!" "*shoves hat on him*" Hehehe...

Finally got to watch this History Of thing...I must say LOL at those parts at the beginning where we get to see Josh and Trace doing their Joel impressions. XD Also...Robyn and Queen, my eyes may very well be deceiving me, but... Is this the State Theater? The one we went to? O__O

*searches Google*. It appears that at least one of the MST Live shows took place at the State Theater back in the day! Can you believe we were in that sacred space and didn't know it? ;D
