It may not be any more packed with extras then previously, but it's probably the best mastering yet, no ?

I'm going to upgrade my used VHS copy. While the riffing is a bit more mainstream than some of the shows, it's still top-notch in my book. Really, I only care whether or not it makes me laugh, and the movie does have some of my all-time favorite sequences of riffing.

I preordered mine! My original copy was a a VHS that I taped off of HBO. It was actually my first introduction to our favorite movie riffing puppet show...What a magical time that was... Now if only they had put some special features and deleted scenes on the damn thing!

Now if only they had put some special features and deleted scenes on the damn thing! Yeah , having a new mastering ( or so they say ) is nice. So is simply having it out there ! But it's obvious that someone noticed Joel was back and CT had some fanfare . . plus the 20th Anniversary too maybe. So it's merely a half-ass attempt to rake in a few bucks without any new effort. I don't mean to punch a gift-horse in the mouth, but yeepers executive guys , c'mon !!

Got my copy of the film today (along with Film Crew's Hollywood After Dark). had an interesting time getting here though. Tracking info said it was delivered to my house on May 8th, yet I didn't get a package! Not in my mailbox, not hiding in the bushes, not behind my house, yet USPS said they delivered it! So I email Amazon and tell them what the deal is, and they say they're gonna send me a new order free of charge. It was shipped today, and it isn't due here until the 17th. But guess what came in the mail today? My original order, which makes no freaking sense! How does the postal service to a delivery scan on an item that wasn't delivered yet? Anyway, I have my precious DVDs and another shipment of the same ones coming!

Oy !
UPS tracking is accurate to within 5 freakin' minutes.
USPS however ? I've had tracking info tell me "the shipper has notified us and we'll prob'ly go pick it up soon" well after it's already arrived !! Useless !! ( it is the federal government afterall.) I worked briefly at a local county government building in the early 90's, and they were gettin' by on file-cabinets and desks from the 60's !! All their equipment is, like, war surplus !! Including all them $800 dollar screwdrivers ! And I recently dealt with some folks at the same building . . their computers aren't capable of much, so . . . no surprise on USPS tracking being a mockery !
