I think this puts everything in perspective for me: - Kastom arrives at Midway airport in four days and three hours. - That means five days until Cinematic Titanic. - But why am I not excited? Because I've got a crapload of work to do before then. Tonight is actual-work (you know, my job), then I have to tackle two art assignments, write a summary for English, take a quiz for Music (it's online), and do my Stats homework so that I'm ahead for Thursday. I won't feel anything until Wednesday afternoon. URGHHHHH. XD

NIGHT ONE!
We're swinging into high baby!
Also, I've decided to hold off on Plushie Forrester until Saturday. Reasoning: If it scares the hell out of him, it'll at least be the last night. XD

Okay, so all my "meh"-ness about Joel in the last few months? Yeah, I'm cured. ;D There's nothing quite like seeing Joel riff live, and tonight was phenomenal. Alien Factor is easily the worst piece of crap I've ever seen. Worse than Manos, mainly because it was clearly made by some guy and his friends - from the 70's. And we all know that the 70's is a decade that just hurts no matter which way you look at it. But the "film" actually hearkened back to Manos a lot in terms of style - there were a lot of repetitive shots that went nowhere, and the main alien was a hairy Sasquatch on Torgo-ish goat legs on stilts. Just fantastic. But there was plenty of fangirly stuff too! For instance: Joel did a Q&A before the show with some question cards that the audience filled out previously. I couldn't think of anything, but Stepharooni (from the CT board) asked a brilliant question that I totally didn't see coming, but when I heard it, I couldn't help but squee audibly from my front row seat: "Can you show us your calves?" AND HE DID. He was all like "Aw yeah, how'd you know my calves were so hot?" and then he slowly rolled up his pant leg. Oh God, I had a front row show to Joel's calf porn. It was so smooth and muscular.... *drools*. Alas, it happened so unexpectedly that I didn't have time to get a picture, so there's a good chance that he may get it asked again tomorrow night, lol. Other squee-worthy events - Joel is one of those people that licks his fingers to turn a page on his script. So I got to sit there the entire show watching him dart out that tongue of his...*SHOT* ;D ;D ;D I know, I know...I'm really bad. I can't help it! The meet and greet was great, though it was a bit rushed since they still had the 10:30 show to do, but the Titans were gracious and sweet as always. I love them all over again. I can't wait to go again tomorrow!

Ohhhh Trace is so cute! <3
I don't have photos yet, but boy oh boy do I have a story. I have an awesome story.
So me, my boyfriend Tom, and my two friends Aaron and John, are standing in the hallway because we were there at 9pm. After lining up, Gruber comes along, handing out green cards to ask Joel (or anyone) a question. I had a thought...but decided, eh...Then the suggestions from the three boys were stupid, so I went with my question, handed it to an usher as we were sat, and prayed it would at least get to the hands of Gruber who could then do whatever the hell we wanted.
Joel had the questions at the end of the warm-up, and Tom goes "Eee, your question!" I just shrugged; I mean, there wasn't a chance in hell the question was going to be asked. We were entertained by his calves, though (I gave out a whoop, and I think I was one of about five who really got the joke) before the fated words that I had written fell upon his lips.
Quick backstory: I have a friend (aged 20) who I got into MST3K with my Movie Sign group at theOtaku. And she has recently divulged her crush on, of all people, Frank. So my question was:
Is Frank currently seeing anyone? I have a friend who's interested.
Joel reads the question, then goes "Who wrote this?" I promptly stick my hand in the air and go "Yo". A spotlight comes on me (yeah) and Joel is just staring right at me, twelve rows from the stage, and asks "Is this friend with you?"
"No," I answered, "She's in Michigan, couldn't come."
"Oh," Joel said. "Having a girlfriend in Michigan is like having a boyfriend in Canada."
To which I burst out laughing, ruffled Tom's hair, and went "You got it right Joel!" But everyone was laughing and the spotlight swooped off me. He finished the answer by saying "I told this to Frank backstage and he went 'Eneghehghgeehh!'" (Or however. It was a "YESPLZ" kind of answer."
Tom and I are freaking out. John reduces it to me stalking Joel, I say no, I don't, Aaron just sits there laughing his ass off. I call another one of my friends from theO (during the intermission), relay the story, and then just sit back and watched the movie.
After the show, I purchased a Coke from the bar, and just as I was telling the bartender guy about the question (since he heard them but didn't see them, so he was curious about who asked my question), Frank walks out and asks for a Coke. It was a very speak-of-the-devil moment.
"And - yeah Frank, I mean, my friend has a crush on you, what can I say." "Hey, tell her to look me up on Facebook."
At the meet-and-greet, I bought the Danger from Tiki Island poster based off the fact that it's the creepiest one of the three and may therefore make my roommate think I'm even weirder. We were at the back of the line, so it was a relaxed pace with us. I told Trace that me and my family didn't go to El Taco Grande (which I invited him to come with us tonight last night) while they're all signing my poster. Mary Jo remembered us from the previous night and when I was presenting my argument of what I said to my dad after he learned I was going to all three shows, Frank went "Tell him I almost graduated high school."
Then we get to Joel. And Joel says to me "Hey, you changed shirts." I look at my shirt and look at him and say "Uh, yeah, I wear clean clothes." Then he gets really confused and we exchange a confusing banter before I cleared it up by saying, "I wasn't here at the 7:30 show, I was here last night."
"OHHHHH..." "Yeah man, I have a life! Going to class and...stuff...Though we're going to be back tomorrow..." "Wow, awesome..." "Oh, and Joel?" I again ruffle Tom's hair. "You remember the quest -" "Yeah?" "He's Canadian."
And I will never forget the face he made. He had the look of shock. It was Joel Hodgson shock, but shock nonetheless. "NO. WAY." he managed to get out, staring at us. "...I'm like, a mind reader! Wow! Woah!"
Yeah, it was amazing.

A MEETING OF EPIC PROPORTIONS: Kat, you're awesome. I was so great to finally meet you! I wish we had more time to hang out (and that the theater wasn't a steamy heat box), but I'm sure we'll have a chance to do it again. Sorry for kinda running off last night without properly saying goodbye, but yeah, when it's 1:30 AM and the people you're staying with are there to pick you up, you kinda need to go, lol. Hopefully a future meeting won't be quite so chaotic!

Okay, let's review: Joel calf porn, Frank crushes, Trace and Plushie Forrester...I'd say this trip was an unmitigated success. Good work, Angels! xP And that's not all! ;D Last night, I was waiting in front of the theater to get dinner with a friend from high school who i haven't seen in years and just so happens to live like an hour outside of the city. So I'm sitting there, waiting for her to pick me up and the 7:30 show is going to start shortly. I'm fiddling with my phone, and all of a sudden I look up to my left and I see Trace and Katie chilling out in front of the theater. Now, I've seen Katie before, but I'd never actually met her properly, yet she recognized me. Our only correspondence was actually when I got a defective Legacy of Blood disc and had to send it back for a new one. She actually remembered me from that, and asked me that night if the replacement had been okay since she hadn't heard back. This was like, LAST YEAR when this happened, and it was only an email. That fact that she remembered that just goes to show how awesome she is. So anyway, she saw me and waved, so I happily walked over to say hi to them. I chatted with them for a bit while they were waiting to meet up with some friends and Trace was talking about the bees he keeps. Yeah, Trace keeps bees you guys. How cool is that? ;D So anyway their friends arrived and Trace introduced me to them (both by my screen name and real name, though he might have cheated on the real name bit since I had told it to Katie earlier, lol). Then obviously they all started catching up so I decided to excuse myself rather than look like a drooling idiot staring at them while they talk, lol. So that was a cool little moment. And then there was my "Oh my God, I'm going to die of embarrassment" moment. Now, despite my limited presence on the CT forum, even those guys know of my love of Joel. Tina (aka Nummymuffin - who is like the coolest lady ever) had been complementing me on my "boobalisciousness", lol. What can I say? I love my low cut shirts so I can showcase the goods and feel super cute at the same time. If you got it, flaunt it right? ;D So anyway, she was getting a kick out of this, and last night during the warm-up Joel came on and reminded the audience that after the show they would be signing stuff in the lobby. Specifically, he said, "We'll sign anything you have, as long as it's a smooth surface". Now, I know what I was thinking when he said that, and Kat knows what she was thinking, but Tina actually said it out loud. She totally yelled to Joel, " Sign Queen Shadowrama's breasts!" It was hilarious, but I also kind of wanted to die, lol. He didn't catch it all the first time, so then she yelled it again and then I yelled back, " Shut up Tina!" really loud and the whole theater heard me! Poor Joel looked soooo confused, lol. My only consolation is that Joel probably didn't really get what had happened, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know me by my screen name (or by any name at all, lol), so he won't make that association if and when I see him again. ;D So yeah. It was a good time. Tom from Tom's Temple was there again so I hung out with him for most of the weekend along with the CT forumites at the Navy Pier and whatnot. I was able to get my Amazing Colossal Episode Guide signed by Mary Jo and Josh, so my set of autographs is nearly complete! Josh was really, really nice this weekend too. That's not to say he's ever not nice, but I dunno, I felt an extra gush of warmness coming from him this time around. He's just so cool. Easily the funniest of the bunch. And of course, I finally got to meet the great Kat and her quiet Canadian boyfriend, so a great time was had by all!

I have a picture. Guys, I think this is one of the best faces I've ever seen Joel make ever. Dork on the left is Tom, my boyfriend, dork on the right is, of course, the Hodgson. Tom's defense: "Neither of us were ready for the picture." Because he had left it on video, I got two seconds of them posing. Tom fixed it and I was more focused on clicking the damn button to pay attention. XD
