I just wanted to tell you all I saw Joel after the show. Nya-Nya! He was standing along the walkway between the Ampitheater and the parking lot. There was a small (5-6 people) crowd waiting to chat and/or take a picture with him.
I walked right past him, not to snub him (but it kinda felt like it), but because I saw RAD and Mary Jo a little further down, with no crowd in front of them. I wanted to meet RAD and say "Hi" to him and MJ, because of his great work as a go-between on the Board, and the fact that I got a Christmas Card from them last year.
As soon as I left, I did regret not saying "Hi" to Joel. I don't really do the fan-boy thing, and this was the first time I'd ever been around any of The Brains. Nervous, I guess, would be the term.
For one thing, we're both Howard Stern listeners. MST3K and The Stern Show seem to have a fairly small cross-over audience, but great minds think alike sometimes...LOL. Plus I should have thanked him for creating my favorite show, right? I think all the fan-girlism I see around here made me slightly jealous (?) of the guy. Does that make any sense?
Anyway, everybody looked great. Josh played a little bass guitar and sang some comedy bits. Trace seems to get younger, not older. Frank is simply the coolest. He's a role model for all us Doughy Guys. Mary Jo let fly some of the best lines of the night. She rules.
Joel looked a bit thinner than some of the recent CT-related pics I'd seen. I knew you all would dig on that...

It's okay, Bix, you can admit you were just overwhelmed by Joel's hotness, it won't make you any less of a man. Seriously, I can understand the nervousness - first time I met Joel, I was a mess. And Joel is...he's Joel, y'know? In my experience meeting the Brains, it's not like Joel's unfriendly towards fans or anything, I think it's mostly that he has no idea what to say to them, which is awkward 'cause usually the starstruck fans have no idea what to say to him. XD I'm glad the show went well - I totally would've gone, but I had family obligations. Did you take any pictures? I've been looking around on other boards and have seen a dissapointing lack of pictures of the show and its contents.

Robyn, I was overwhelmed by the hotness alright. Must have been 90 degrees, and that was at the END of the night.
Good one, though...
Re: Pictures.
Terms of my probation prohibit me from purchasing, possessing, or using photographic devices of any kind. Sorry. I did see a few pics on the CT site, though. I was at the left end of the 5th row...
I even had an extra, untorn ticket that I could've had Joel sign. Then I could've raffled it off on this site.
How many pair of panties would it have fetched? The world will never know...
