I dunno' if our little but growing band of Merry MSTys actually needs a "where's that from ?" type thread full-time, but I sure do right about . . . Now !I've returned my attention to my " Music From Some Guys In Space" genre in iTunes, where I have 400 some different audio items : ( songs, musical moments from the theater, scenes that just plain work as an audio type thing, that sort'a such ). I'm seeing which still need artwork, and which aren't attributed to the right episode or right year. ( I give them the year of the film / experiment . . . it's Fun !! ) for instance : the looky~switch | 0:08 | Women of the Prehistoric Planet | 1966 | Music From Some Guys In Space | 11/2/07 | 11:22 AM | Music From Some Guys In Space | Open#Top >R&B< | 131.3 KB | AAC audio file | Adjusted by iVolume 10/16/2008 11:42:41 . . see ?, all my active columns from MyTunes. But there's at least two that I neglected to note the episode from which they is from !! Any flashes of recognition for : The trio of J&TBs doing the standard "circus-tune" of "doot toot doodle-loot da doot doodle loo-doo" . . into Crow saying "like I live to serve you". I'm thinking it's Gamera about to save Kenny from a high perch . . . again !! Also un-noted by a dopey me : Crow saying "Oh !, you put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up !", to which Mike goes "Mhh" in agreement. Alright, somebody else come with one that's decent . . . get this vital damn thread cookin' !

I also believe the lime thing is from Werewolf, since I watched that one, like, yesterday and distinctly remember Crow saying that...

"Music from Some Guys in Space" was "Pod People" definitely. The coconut one I'm not so sure about.

Thanks all. Altho' "Music from Some Guys in Space" being from "Pod People" was never in question ! However, I notice that all 3 of you who referred to "the coconut" thing, did so in away that suggests you don't know the reference perhaps. Harry Nilsson, who Joel cites by name early in "Legend of The Dinosaur" was a 60 / 70's recording artist . . pal of all Beatles . . and was known for many songs like : ♪Everybody's talkin' at me, I can't hear a word they're sayin' . . . only the echoes of my mind ♪
♪ Can't live . .if living is without you . . .can't give . . can't give anymore ♪
and, of course "Coconut" > ♪ you put the lime in the coconut, call the doctor, woke him up ♪ . . etc.
Actually, I just checked the iTunes store, and under Nilsson they're the top 3 songs if you wanna have a 30 second "oh yeah !, of course !!"

This is prob'ly the best place to ask this, even tho' it pertains to all episodes really . . . But if the opening theme is called "Love Theme from Mystery Science Theatre, then what the hell is the name of the end-credits tune ? I always assigned "Love Theme" to that !
Think there's an official title for it, or what ?

I know this is an old thread, and probably won't be read, but I always thought both were called "Love Theme" because I read somewhere that the end theme is the beginning theme slowed down.

Here's how it goes down: In the closing credits, the song they credit as being the "MST3K Love Theme" is the opening theme song. Why? Well, because it credits the music composer and the lyrics writer, and only one song has lyrics. Okay, that's a simple one that we all know. The closing theme, as far as I can tell, was never given a name on-show, so fans sort of had to speculate as to what the hell its official title is. I myself thought of it as the Love theme until I obtained the second OST (aka "Clowns in the Sky II" to those non-anime people), which has the ending theme on it. Lo and behold, it's given a name, and that name is "Mighty Science Theater". Link for great justice.

You learn something new everyday. Thanks for that info because the thing I read only said that it was the beginning theme slowed down. That's why I just assumed it was the same title.
