The fun never stops. We went to a blues club last night; way cool. Not sure what's on today's agenda.

I guess the discussion board couldn't handle the awesomeness of the meetup.

Yeah,
( I'm all the damn way home by-the-way gang )
Turns out Truck Farmer and others were quite . . uh . . . disappointed by the dwindling attendees as it approached. But we all loved the intimate "poker-game sized" group. It was generally one conversation going on and thoughts were actually finished n' junk.
But as to the fire ? a couple of us, while waiting for the gang to convene in the morning, sorta figured it was "time-release karma". Like, "oh !, well if you're not gonna go join the MSTy Meet-Up, you ain't allowed to be MSTy's this weekend. All MSTY energy was diverted to Austin, man !
well, you know.

Oh wait ! I got 4 hour tapes fulla' some amazing and nifty-MSTy footage, RAD, who knows my work, is expecting quite the edit-down, and it will take me a day or few. But I'll post links when I get it up on MeTube ! ( I better get to work !! ) ;D ;D

Here's one neat thing in the meantime. A bit different then an autographed DvD or such. Saturday afternoon, Continental Airlines emailed my printable boarding-pass / eTicket for Sunday . . . but one of the few things I had not dragged to Austin was my printer !! The printer in the hotel lobby jammed, plus their stupid PC "protected me" from seeing the damn file I wanted to print . . but that's ok, cuz Mary Jo and RAD agreed to print it for me, and Sunday at noon, just after they joined us, Mary Jo handed it to me. We also made a special stop by their place on the way home at midnight Saturday so Mary Jo could run in and get me two Melatonin . . one I took, one I cherish. To me, they are both personal mementos that show the effort of a new friend, not merely an autograph that took 7 semi-sincere seconds to dash off !!! Does it show how ready Mary Jo and RAD were to help get me on a plane out of there ??

Hehe...I imaginne RAD was totally awesome for the weekend, but seriously how was Mary Jo? What was she like? Was she just chill and welcoming and down for everything, or did she look like she was in a perpetual state of terror (she was hanging out with MSTies after all )? How do you avoid getting all gushy on her? Watch out, I may be taking notes! ;D

It was awesome. Between the bouts of spousal abuse and marital counseling appointments, Rad and MJ were perfect hosts. Since we'd all met the prior year (minus Stoopid), it was a real laid back, relaxed atmosphere among friends. Everyone got along great, lots of joking, and lots of verbal slandering amongst us.
We got a new member out of the deal, crowfan, and Rad made mention of joining himself. Lots of booze, pizza, and burgers, naturally.
We've already planned next year's Meet-Up; a real exclusive thing open only to those who attended this year.

OK !! ____ here we go ( or start to anyway ) As the last of us "back there" are getting their planes today, I've just begun to catalog the 4 videos I shot. ( and I've al ready seen two times were I put the camera back in the bag still running . . so any great audio-only moments will eventually have stills to back them ) So, as I begin to ready for video-assembly, lemme share a few "frame-grabs" When RAD, MJ, and I stopped with Calandra so she could get an "Austin City Limits" T-Shirt, RAD was taken with a poster in the record-store's outside window . . . he's got a good eye that boy ! Each shot seemed to want a slightly different "color temperature"

I was expounding on this "theory" of mine in the car at one point : Out of sewage systems have often come big wads of barely digested vitamins . . . without the exact right enzymes n' such, our bodies barely break them down. So I've taken to using a coffee-bean grinder to powderize `em & stir `em into a liquid. Boy, does it work !! I feel it right away . . . . it's like a wholesome n' good drug or sumthin' ( imagine ! ) Mary Jo turned around and said "I'm going to take that under advisement" I just took this shot to send to them as a reminder, and I thought I'd share it with all my anemic, run-down MSTY pals !! ( We've barely begun to get to the good shots folks, to say nothing of video on MyTube )

As Calandra said above, we got the coolest new member . . who joined and activated in the actual presence of 2 moderators ( a unique honor for all ! ) Seems like a cool and wonderful person too. . . . ( at first !! )

Yeah,
In an act of contrition, I was just bamming myself. wait, that don't sound right . . . good idea tho'.
Crowfan did show me the links to Civil War and Lincoln sites . . but was sadly musketless.

Was she just chill and welcoming and down for everything, or did she look like she was in a perpetual state of terror (she was hanging out with MSTies after all )? You will truly see ! I've barely begun getting the tapes in sequence, much less transferred and edited . . but I'm already reminded of the whole range of "MJ moments". ( I was there for `em too ) All kind'sa responses and stuff . . . like an actual person even !!

Had I carried a musket into the airport, you would have all had to visit me in jail. got home safely a few hours ago and after picking up Brett, getting something to eat, and starting laundry, finally have a chance to check in. It was tons of fun and can't wait for next year.
